Meet our PuzzleArt Training Program Presenters: Dr. Serena Zeidler

Join Us for The PuzzleArt Therapy Training Day on 1/26/2014 in  Westbury, New York! Over the next few days, we will introduce you to our PuzzleArt trainers. Today\’s featured trainer is Dr. Serena Zeidler. Serena is an occupational therapist with 30+ years of experience. Her current clinical focus is on school-based practice. Serena is an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Occupational Therapy at NYIT, and is an adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University. Serena received her M.A. in OT from NYU, and her Doctorate of OT from Chatham University. “PuzzleArt Pathways to Brain Fitness”, is an enlarged, multi-media, free flowing interpretation of Berman’s hands-on therapeutic art and her PuzzleArt Therapy System, which is used by health professionals in 16 countries to help develop increased cognitive function. Different populations can work on 20 different skills to help improve: memory, focus, letter and word recognition, concentration for sports, creativity, perceptual learning, oculomotor skills and more for success in school, business, and life. Berman’s interactive installation will be at Tilles Center through August 2013. Join us Sunday, December 2nd at 3:30pm to 5:30pm at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in the Atrium for a short multi-generational program and the inauguration of this New Public Art Form. There will be a \”meet the artist\” talk where Berman shares her brain fitness secrets to leading a more creative life and there will be a short guided art \”happening\” as well as informal brain fitness activities for all ages and abilities.
